Bringing Loyly to the Lowlands

Cedar Hus - Luxury Nordic sauna . Iconic Borders locations

The big day has come – Cedar Hus has launched.

This lovely new website is live, putting this mobile sauna adventure out into the world. Laura Mitchell and the team invite you to join this hot cultural moment, where sauna warms up Scotland. Their first sauna, named after the Nordic goddess Beyla, was recycled from an old building made from Canadian Cedar. Her arrival and learning about how she works by reproducing relaxing experiences for friends has been wonderful.

A steam-infused sauna is amazing for muscle recovery after exercise – wild swimming, cycling, tennis, rugby, resistance training – anything where you might need to recuperate from exertion. It supports good sleep and therefore good health. This is the reason Laura was drawn to sauna in the first place. There are many health benefits to including regular sauna in your life.

‘A huge thank you to my beautiful friends who feature across the website, and all those that have helped Beyla to set off on her journey. We look forward to bringing you different sauna experiences from across the Scottish Borders. If you have any ideas for locating Beyla somewhere special, particularly where you can safely swim (depending on your experience and conditions of course!), please do let me know so I can consider it for her calendar next year. Email me at [email protected] for this or any other questions you might have’.
