Client: Scotland’s Guest House + Bed & Breakfast Association
Brief: Bright Light Marketing were commissioned to create and deliver the national ‘Be our Guest’ marketing campaign to visitors and fellow Scots alike.
This highly successful campaign has promoted and re-positioned B&Bs and Guest Houses by telling and sharing their richly diverse range of stories – in words, in photos and on film. From Scotland’s first literary themed B&B to a Hebridean escape on Uist, Yoga and Wellness breaks in Perthshire to Outlander Tours.
These stories are all interesting and different individually, but one thing that they all have in common is that they challenge existing perceptions which people may have of B&Bs and that they present the modern face of the sector as the high-quality accommodation choice that it is today.
Let’s do Breakfast! That’s the invitation from the SGHBBA, a leading industry body which represents around 2,000 of Scotland’s B&Bs and Guest Houses.
All accommodation sectors have their unique selling points, and the B&B and Guest House sector is no different. The new SGHBBA wanted to challenge perceptions, re-invigorate and re-position the sector by communicating the key and compelling messages about why visitors should choose to stay in a Scottish B&B or Guest House (based on their research) and using stories to bring the B&B experience to life.
